There are two types of battle on this board: Sanctioned, and Unsanctioned. Now, what's the difference between these two types? To put it simply, Sanctioned Battles take place in the 'Battlegrounds' section of the board, and use our battle system statistics, whilst Unsanctioned battles take place merely as a part of roleplay.
Also, you will be rewarded on taking part (and winning) a Sanctioned battle, to the tune of 5 MC for every post you make, as well as a reward to the winner, as decided by the judge. In an Unsanctioned battle, you will not get rewards outside of what a thread usually earns you.
To fight in a Sanctioned Battle, you need to have the following in your post:
There are several things you can do in your turn. These include:
So, your battle summary might look like this:
1. Attack, Light Machine Gun, 30 damage, aimed at foe's left leg.
2. Dodge, hide behind a rock.
3. Charge, Hydraulic Bite Mechanism.
4. Attack, Hydraulic Bite Mechanism, 55 damage (charged)' aimed at foe's body.
5. Dodge, swerve to the right.
Sanctioned battles are won when your opponent either forfeits, or has no armour left on their Mech's body or head (should your battle allow headshots). Unsanctioned battles are won when your opponent is either dead, or runs away, or you reach a particular goal.
A few things to note:
To fight in a sanctioned battle, you need to post in the 'Battle Requests' board. Here, you should post your suggested rules (are headshots allowed, what type of mech can fight, etc), and your Mech's stats. If you buy anything once someone has expressed their interest, you cannot fight that battle with it. Once you have an opponent and a judge, then the judge will make a thread in the 'Battlegrounds' board for you and your opponent to post on. Keep in mind there will be a time limit to it, Time limits can be extended if you ask our judge nicely.

To fight in a Sanctioned Battle, you need to have the following in your post:
- Your Mech's stats. These are only really needed in the first post, though.
- Battle Narrative: This is what your character does in the turn. Think about attacking, defending, manoeuvres, as well as a few thoughts and feelings, if you so wish. Heck, you could even have a little dialogue, if you so wish!
- Summary. You get five actions in one post. They should be listed under your narrative, and detail what you did in that turn, such as listing a weapon's name, effect and damage if you attacked, or listing how you dodged, if you did that. You cannot do the same thing twice in one action.
There are several things you can do in your turn. These include:
- Attack. Your mech has weapons, yes? Then you can use them on your opponent! When used, they should be listed: Attack: Weapon Name, Damage and Effect, Aimed At
- Activate and Charge: Does one of your weapons state you can charge it? Or do you want to activate some equipment? Then you should write: Activate: [Equipment Name, Effect, or Charge, Weapon Name. Should a weapon require multiple charges, then you can do them either consecutively, or non-consecutively, however, you can't carry charge over for a post, and if you attack when you are charging, you'll lose your charge./li]
[li]Dodge. Want to avoid the nuke that just got fired at you? Yeah, we all do... Anyway, you should enter: Dodge: Method of dodging

A few things to note:
- If a limb is depleted of its armour, it becomes useless, and it is likely you'll get a speed/agility drop.
- If there is a weapon on a limb depleted of its armour, then it becomes unusable.
