Effects: Adds 90 Armour points to the armour piece that the External slot is located on. Energy based attacks deal 75% damage to areas where this plating is attached. May only be equipped once to each area of armour on a mech.

Plating formed from many layers of steel: It is quite bulky, but is effective, especially against bladed weapons, as the layers simply fall off of the mech, instead of letting the blade slice through.
Effects: Adds 90 Armour points to the armour piece that the External slot is located on. Bladed weapons deal 50% of their total damage. May only be equipped once per area of armour.
